| The illness and suffering |
My reflections today on the theme of suffering, each of us during their lifetime suffering in different ways and not always covered by medical.
First of all, we should not be afraid of suffering, there is never given a weight so great that our hearts can't bear.Suffering helps us to grow, it is not necessary to experience pain, but who knows, it may be said to have fully lived their lives, to have consumed, not to stand still on the surface.
However, many people find their cross too heavy: those who have failed in their profession, who is suffering from an incurable disease, those who have been abandoned by their partners.
Here also, the Christian does not have recipes and much less guarantees that enable them to accomplish this task and to deal positively with the disease more than other men.
Experience shows that even in the Christian disease has a point of reference which can constantly turn has to deal not only with the setback represented by his illness, but also sustain his faith and deal with the crisis and the questioning, as well as must go from knowing quiete abstract of the need to carry the cross behind Jesus, not taking any of a cross, but his own.
The paths that the disease raises and the results to which it leads, are always unpredictable.
The meaning of illness is never already given, but the disease event is an event in which we must, with effort and patience to find the right way.
